Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200C 400F
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes
Add thinly sliced red cabbage to the skillet and cook until softened, about 10 minutes
Stir in balsamic vinegar, walnuts, salt, and pepper
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
Spread the red cabbage and onion mixture evenly over the puff pastry
If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy
Once baked, remove from oven and let it cool slightly before slicing
Serve warm and enjoy
