Margarita Shrimp is a zesty and refreshing seafood dish infused with the flavors of tequila and lime. Its quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests. The marinade adds depth of flavor while keeping the shrimp tender and juicy.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions:
Mix tequila, lime juice, olive oil, garlic that has been minced, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl using a whisk
Toss the shrimp in the marinade to coat it, then put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
Set the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat to get it hot
You can use skewers to hold the shrimp, or you can just put them on the grill
The shrimp should be grilled for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque
Take the shrimp off the grill and add fresh cilantro leaves on top
Put lime wedges next to the Margarita Shrimp when you serve it
