Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
Put the burger patties on a grill that has already been heated up
Cook for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Add shredded cheddar cheese to top of each patty at the very end of the grilling time and let it melt
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until they are just barely crispy while the burgers are cooking
On the bottom half of each bun, spread barbecue sauce
After the sauce, put a lettuce leaf on top of it, then a tomato slice, a grilled burger patty with cheese on top, and finally avocado slices
Put the other half of the hamburger bun on top
Warm up the Grilled Santa Fe Burgers and serve them with your favorite sides
